Mark Shull attacks and demonizes people experiencing homelessness.

While campaigning to serve on the County Commission, on Facebook Shull joined in a discussion to make jokes when a poster described people experiencing homelessness as “wildlife”.

Against the advice of county staff, he conducted a “fact-finding mission” to homeless camps, taking photos and videos without permission, then claiming that all homeless people he met were drug addicts from Portland. He then said they all should be sent to military bivouacs.

He used this tour to attack “socialism” and make empty generalizations about the causes and solutions for homelessness.
