Most men would rather deny a hard truth than face it, and that never ends well.

Commissioner Mark Shull was elected to the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners on Nov. 3, 2020. In January of 2021, dozens of posts that Mr. Shull made on Facebook were discovered by the author of this page. These posts contained anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant and anti-Black Lives Matter content and disparaged many marginalized groups.

After the postings were revealed, there was tremendous public outcry for Commissioner Shull to step down, but he refused to do so. During one Clackamas County Policy Meeting on March 2, 2021, he demanded “empirical evidence” that he was a racist. This mini-site is a collection of the evidence that Mr. Shull has engaged in sustained and repeated racist and hateful behavior, as evidenced in Facebook postings, public speeches and emails. These sources all support the conclusion that he has engaged in such behavior.
